Career civil servants who have testified in impeachment hearings are being called corrupt deep state operators by President Donald Trump and his supporters. But when it comes to Ukraine, the activities of Rudy Giuliani, President Trump's personal attorney, seem more nefarious and corrupt than the actions of patriotic civil servants.

As predicted, Senate Republicans have voted to acquit President Donald Trump in his impeachment trial. President Trump's party is letting him off the hook despite strong evidence he abused his power as president to pressure Ukraine to help with his 2020 election campaign.
