Republican leaders didn't listen to health experts about how to prevent the spread of COVID-19, focusing instead on rebuilding the economy. Now with cases and deaths rising dramatically, we are seeing how short-sighted their strategy was.

A group of disgruntled citizens is aiming to recall Gov. Tony Evers for his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the state's legislative leaders have prevented Gov. Evers from acting to address the pandemic every step of the way.
