Liz Snyder’s recent writings about the comics were entertaining and informative. She is “right on” regarding John Hambrock. He is an excellent cartoonist and a good person.

Because I am an Old Geezer, I well remember the wonderful comics from the 30s and 40s. Sunday comics ran six pages. And in color! Such names as Li’l Abner, Alley Oop, Prince Valient, Smilin’ Jack, Snuffy Smith, The Katchenjamer Kids, Dick Tracy and many others were a joy to read.

To my knowledge, Blondie is about the only remaining strip from the olden days. It’s as great now as it was then. Yes, I still miss Pogo.

The new Kenosha-Racine comic strips are just fine. If I don’t like one, I simply don’t read it.
