I would like to alert everyone who drives on Interstate 94 about a road hazard that can be felt but cannot be seen.
Just north of the Route 20 exit, at mile marker O.2, there is a sudden dip in the pavement northbound across all three lanes. There is almost no dip in the southbound lanes there.
This sudden dip in the road can be hazardous for motorcyclists, especially beginning riders and people who do not ride on I-94 on a regular basis and are unaware.
This dip is less noticeable now that the road has been repaved at that spot as part of the Foxconn highway improvement project, but it is still dangerous and there is no yellow sign indicating a dip exists. Perhaps this can be an important subject for the “Fix It” column.
