On June 11 around 10 a.m., I was going to the Post Office downtown to mail some letters. As I was walking in the parking lot I did not trip but fell flat down on my knees and my face.
I fractured my nose, cut my lips with my teeth and was bleeding. All I could hear was a lady yelling, “Help her, she’s bleeding.”
Three young men came to help. One told the other fella to go to the car and get some paper toweling. He came back with a roll of toilet paper.
In the meantime they got my husband from the car, and they helped me to the car. I didn’t even have time to thank the woman and the men. They even said, “Don’t worry, we’ll mail your letters.”
My husband took me to Froedtert Kenosha Hospital and I was operated on that night.
So for those four helpers, “Thank you so much for being there for me.” It’s nice to know that people care and help.
