Like many residents of Kenosha and the surrounding area, I was shocked and saddened to hear about the tragic passing of members of the Rizzo family.
My family and I were patients of Dr. Rizzo since the 1970’s. Considering I recently turned 45 years old, I consider it remarkable and an honor to say I have had the same dentist my entire life.
My last appointment with Dr. Rizzo was in February and, like many visits, we talked about the upcoming Brewers season and he talked with great excitement about his recent extended-family vacation to Alaska. (In hindsight, there was something special about that trip which I hope provides some comfort to their family).
My father (John Fitzpatrick) and I have an investment-planning business in town and, on this day, my father picked me up. The three of us, as well as his wife Mary, had a few laughs and I scheduled a follow-up visit for August. When we left, my dad said, “If there is a finer person around than Vince Rizzo, then I haven’t met him.”
Rest in peace, Vince and Mary, and go Brewers!
