Zion-Benton (Ill.) (0-0) at Indian Trail (0-1)

When: 7 tonight

Where: Jaskwhich Stadium (6800 60th Ave.)

Series note: This is the teams' first meeting.

Player to watch: Indian Trail junior Clayton Bishop, a 6-foot-1, 181-pound receiver/cornerback, may be the Hawks' most athletic player in every facet. In last week's 21-13 loss at Wilmot, he returned a punt 40 yards after weaving through a myriad of Wilmot tacklers. … "Clayton is a tremendous athlete that matches up well against an athletic Zion-Benton team," Indian Trail coach Paul Hoffman said. "He plays a crucial role for us on both sides of the ball. He has had a great camp and a good game (in) Week 1. We're excited to see him continue to improve and produce."

Key stat: It was no secret what hurt the Hawks in their 21-13 loss at Wilmot in Week 1. Indian Trail was outgained by just two yards, 252-250, but the Hawks committed 12 penalties for 103 yards. … One holding penalty wiped out a first-quarter TD and another on the final drive deep in Wilmot territory pushed the Hawks back and forced a game-sealing interception.

FYI: This is the first game of the season for Zion-Benton, which competes in Illinois' North Suburban Conference. … Under coach Bob Moynihan, the Zee-Bees went 5-5 last season and qualified for the IHSA Class 8A playoffs.
