Tremper girls golf earns team honor

The Tremper girls golf team received honorable mention on the Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin’s Division-1 Academic All-State team.

The seventh annual award was established to recognize teams with the highest grade-point averages. The GPAs of the five golfers on the roster for the fall 2018 WIAA regional tournament are tallied to determine award-winners.

Tremper’s regional roster consisted of Cameron Lee, Ashley Stich, Sophia Johnson, Haley Leadingham and Grace Heinert.

Coaches vote duo to All-MCC team

Christian Life girls basketball players Adeline Fredrick and Alayna Smith recently earned All-Midwest Classic Conference recognition.

Fredrick was voted to the second team, while Smith was named honorable mention.

KSBO seeking youth sports teams

The Kenosha Simmons Baseball Organization is seeking youth teams in any sport from the Kenosha community that may be in need of donations or grants to support their program.

The KSBO is a non- profit organization that runs the Eric Olson Annual Cigar Smoker event at a Kenosha Kingfish game each July. Proceeds from the event are distributed to needy youth sports and programs in the Kenosha community.

Bowling honors

Laura Woods bowled a 714 series with games of 190, 259 and 265 in the Monday Vegas League at Guttormsen Recreation Center.
