The UW-Parkside baseball team had plenty of offense at its disposal Sunday afternoon at Simmons Field.

Unfortunately for the Rangers, visiting Davenport had more.

Davenport broke open a close game with a six-run fourth inning en route to an 11-5 victory in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular-season finale.

Leading Parkside (10-34, 5-23) were Casey Oliver (two hits, run), Dominic Esposito (two hits, run), Ricky West (two hits, RBI) and Shawn Rigsby (hit, two RBI).

Starting pitcher Keaton Kastberg took the loss, as he allowed 12 hits, nine earned runs and struck out one in four innings.

The win completed the weekend sweep for Davenport (30-16, 16-11) after the Panthers knocked off the Rangers, 13-3, in the second game of a doubleheader Saturday night.

Justin Bennett and Oliver each had two hits to lead Parkside, while Rigsby had a double.

Parkside closes its 2019 season Tuesday at NCAA Division I UW-Milwaukee for a 6 p.m. contest at Kapco Park in Mequon.
