Powered by big offensive performances from Sydney Strelow and Alyssa McClelland, the Bradford softball team is moving on to the Division-1 semifinals of the WIAA State Tournament.

McClelland homered, tripled and drove in a run, while Strelow homered and drove in a pair as the Red Devils defeated Chippewa Falls, 5-3, Thursday morning in a Division-1 quarterfinal at Goodman Diamond in Madison.

Bradford (24-6) will play either Oshkosh North or Nicolet in a semifinal at 7 p.m. Friday.

The winner advances to Saturday's title game, scheduled for approximately 6:30 p.m.

Jadynn Powell went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Bradford on Thursday, while Chloe Garofalo scored a run.

Bradford led 3-2 going into the top of the seventh when Strelow and McClelland socked back-to-back homers to provide insurance.

Livie Lehmann pitched a complete game to get the win.

Later today, Wilmot will play Pulaski in a Division-1 quarterfinal at 2:30. Look for a report online tonight and in Friday's Kenosha News.
