Paul Lynch led the Central boys golf team to a second-place finish in the Southern Lakes Conference Tournament on Tuesday at Brighton Dale Links.

Lynch finished runner-up overall with a 76, three strokes behind medalist Blake Wisdom of Lake Geneva Badger.

Badger shot a 322 to win the eight-team tourney, followed by Elkhorn (339), Central (342) and Union Grove (348). Wilmot finished sixth with a 360.

Central’s Bryce Drier and Wilmot’s Ian Torstenson cracked the top 10, finishing ninth and 10th, respectively.

Trent Stueber (88), Will Cavener (94) and Nolan Bruni (96) also competed for the Falcons.

For the Panthers, Torstenson was followed by Evan Hahn (86), Jaret Ketterhagen (94), Devin Spath (95) and Ryan Vazquez (98).

Shoreland Lutheran’s Ryan Fitzpatrick shot a 77 (39-38) to lead the local entries at Ives Grove Links.

Fitzpatrick earned first-team, All-MCC honors.

St. Joseph was led by Isabella Hart’s 84 (43-41), followed by Sam Paupore with a 93 (45-48), Thomas Dippel with a 93 (47-46), Tim Evans with a 99 (51-48) and Ryan Paupore with a 114 (60-54).

Shoreland’s Willson Pan shot a 121 (61-60).

Racine Lutheran won the tournament with a 348. St. Joseph was fifth with a 369 and Shoreland Lutheran was incomplete.

Racine Prairie, which was second with a 353, won the overall conference title.

The host Trojans scored a goal in each half en route to the Southeast Conference victory.

Allison Shaver put the Trojans on the scoreboard with a goal at the 26:11 mark off an assist from Brooke Clements.

Tremper added its second goal at the 55:41 mark after a header by Lauren McKeon to Brooklyn Stevenson, who beat the Case goalie.

“It was a good team effort,” Tremper coach Todd Hardy said. “We just kept attacking, attacking and attacking, and finally, a couple fell through for us.”

Hardy cited the efforts of Allison and Tabitha Schaver, Clements and Haley Leadingham.
