The first half of Monday night’s non-conference girls basketball contest between visiting Wilmot and Walworth Big Foot was somewhat tight.
That changed in a hurry in the second half.
Wilmot (9-6) led by 11 points at halftime but outscored the Chiefs, 49-24, in the final 18 minutes to cruise to an 81-45 victory, its fifth straight win, to improve to 9-6 overall.
Julia Hickey led four Panthers in double figures with 17 points on the strength of five 3-pointers, followed by Haley Lamberson with 15 points and Karoline Klahs and Delaney Brown with 12 apiece.
Wilmot’s Riley Alexander added nine points on three 3-pointers.
Big Foot (8-6) was led by Reagan Courier’s 11 points.

The visiting Eagles trailed 32-9 at halftime in losing to the Midwest Classic Conference leaders.
Alyssa Jouett and Alayna Smith scored four points each to lead CLS (6-7 overall, 1-5 MCC), while Faith Hyllberg, Vivian Onedo and Kaila Woods scored three apiece.
Julia Jensen paced Brookfield Central (11-6, 9-0) with a game-high 17 points.
Bradford finished second in the team standings with 48 points.
The 200 freestyle relay team of Ben Leipzig, Francisco Martinez, Damian Reyes and Matt Krug won their event in 1 minute, 45.76 seconds.
Placing second were the 100 medley relay squad of Ethan Bergman, Krug, Reyes and Martinez (56.54) and the 8-by-50-yard freestyle relay quartet of Charlie Halstead, Jared Ziegelbauer, Alex Calderwood and Leipzig (3:56.74).
Finishing third was the 200 medley relay team of Bergman, Krug, Reyes and Martinez (2:00.19).
