The Indian Trail girls volleyball team finished second, while Bradford finished fifth at Saturday’s Southeast Conference Tournament at Tremper.
Indian Trail swept Racine Horlick and Case in two sets, followed by a three-set loss to Franklin in the title tilt.
The Hawks, who are seeded third in the upcoming Division-1 regional, won the opening set against Franklin before the Sabers rallied to win the last two.
Leading Indian Trail were Maddie Haines (29 kills), Hannah Green (eight blocks), Bella Bratzke (30 digs) and Bryanna Gonzalez (39 assists).
Bradford opened its day with a 25-23, 23-25, 11-15 loss to Oak Creek, but bounced back to defeat Racine Park (25-17, 25-5) and Racine Horlick (25-18, 25-10) to finish fifth overall.
“I’m so proud of this team to bounce back from a difficult first match,” Bradford coach Kyle Yackley said. “It’s tough to beat a team (Oak Creek) four times in a row. Though we are 5-1 over the last two weeks, we have been battling through injury and illnesses. I’m so proud of this group for just finding a way.”
Leading the Red Devils were Lindsay Peck (27 kills), Makayla Eckel (12 kills, nine aces), Grace Hiegert (12 kills, five blocks), Mallory Malone (49 assists) and Ally Eckel (42 digs).
