Player to watch: Tremper junior Mitchel Schwartz, listed at 6-1, 205 pounds, is a versatile linebacker for the Trojans and also has 100 rushing yards and two TDs on 17 carries. … “He can play inside and outside linebacker at a high level, and that versatility will be a key component to slowing down Oak Creek’s offense,” Tremper coach Jared McGranahan said.
Key stat: After rushing for 245 yards in a 43-7 Week 1 win over Milwaukee Pius XI, Tremper was held to just 66 yards on the ground in a 28-6 Week 2 loss to Milwaukee King. … The Knights are allowing 198 rushing yards per game.
FYI: Oak Creek was ranked No. 9 in Division-1 in the Week 1 WisSports.net state coaches poll but dropped out of the rankings after taking a 35-7 thumping in a Week 2 game at Waterford that was played on a Thursday night. … The Knights have made seven straight postseason appearances, while the Trojans are seeking their first playoff berth since 2010.
